Web Videos

I coordinated with The Luxury Channel production team to produce videos exclusively for the website and an online viewership. We covered the events and trends of interest to the site’s affluent, savvy audience from London Fashion Week to the Frieze Art Fair to hotel design.

Hotel Design Trends: For many luxury travellers the look and design of a hotel is as important as its location and amenities. Explore the aesthetic of unique hotels from Terence Conran’s groundbreaking Boundary to the urban chic of Rough Luxe in this look at today’s most innovative hotel design trends.

London Fashion Week: For the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week, The Luxury Channel had access to all the hottest shows and most exciting designers. We covered all the highlights, from the celeb-heavy Burberry show to the latest in ethical fashion.

Frieze Art Fair: The Luxury Channel was at the Frieze Art Fair in London, a must-see for fans and buyers of contemporary art, and where serious collectors were back to purchase pieces from both established and emerging artists.

The Icecreamists: This week, the Luxury Channel goes underground at London’s Selfridges to infiltrate the new ice cream revolution at The Icecreamists pop up shop. With rock and roll tastes–Sex Pistols absinthe–and fashionista flavors—black Vogue liquorice–this is ice cream like it’s never been done before.

Fashion’s Night Out: Last week thirteen capital cities around the globe hosted a mass shopping event in aid of promoting fashion and raising money for charity. The Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, conceived by Anna Wintour’s office in New York, was a huge global success and The Luxury Channel was in London to experience what is surely going to be one of fashion’s most exciting annual events.

SalonQP 09: The Luxury Channel in association with Snow Leopard and Dalmore were at SalonQP, the first watch fair of its kind in London. With the best in contemporary watch-making on offer, the fair attracted serious collectors and enthusiasts who flocked to see the latest offerings from the world’s top watch brands.

Fashion Pops Up: Trendy pop-up stores have been cropping up all over in recent months. The Luxury Channel catches a couple of these “now you see it, now you don’t” specialty shops before they disappear.

The Legacy of Coco Chanel: Chanel didn’t just define fashion in the first half of the 20th century, she dominated it. With a firm place in fashion history, her iconic designs are still revered and worn today, both protected and reinterpreted by the genius of Karl Lagerfeld.

Only Watch 2009 Preview: At the prestigious Only Watch auction preview at Asprey, The Luxury Channel had a chance to see the 34 one-of-a-kind watches donated by top makers such as Audemars Piguet, Breguet and Patek Philippe—they are unique in the world and collectors follow this biannual event closely. The timepieces were donated to raise money for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and were auctioned off at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Secrets of a Stately GardenSton Easton Park is a classic country house hotel with a quirky little secret. Their loofah harvest is an annual event that has quickly become a popular tradition and this year The Luxury Channel was there.

Paul James: Paul James, Global Brand Leader, St Regis and The Luxury Collection, talks about his strategy for dealing with the recession, whether star ratings are important and how big China will be in his future plans.
